Billboard Prices in Egypt (2026): What 81 Listed Billboards Actually Cost

Short answer: the median monthly asking price for a billboard in Egypt, across 81 listings with a published price, is EGP 32,000. Small 3×4 m street boards start around EGP 8,000 a month; large Ring Road unipoles run EGP 28,000 to 95,000; digital screens EGP 25,000 to 150,000. Printing, installation and VAT are usually on top.

Where these numbers come from

Most billboard owners in Egypt don't publish prices: you ask for a quote and get a PDF. These figures are the exception. They are the 81 billboards with a published monthly asking price in the inventory listed on SkylineDOOH, originally posted publicly by their owners and collected in March 2026.

Read them with three caveats:

• They are asking prices, not what was finally paid. Owners negotiate, especially for longer bookings.
• Some listings are a set of faces sold together, for example a sequence of 3×6 m boards along one road. The price is for the whole set.
• The sample is small outside Cairo and Giza. Treat the Alexandria figures as indicative.

All prices are per month. Two further listings in Suez (Ain Sokhna and the Galala road) were EGP 8,000 and EGP 35,000.

Cairo and Giza have the same median, but the spread is wide: the same city holds EGP 9,000 boards on Maadi side streets and EGP 150,000 screens on the 6th October Bridge. The road matters far more than the city. Browse what is available in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.

Boards facing the Ring Road deserve their own line: the 14 listings there ranged from EGP 35,000 to 95,000 a month, with a median of EGP 51,000.

What pushes a billboard's price up or down

• The road. Ring Road, 6th October Bridge, 90th Street and the 26th of July corridor are priced well above side streets of the same city.
• Size and position. Bigger faces cost more, but a small board at a traffic light that drivers stop at can outperform a large one they pass at speed.
• Lighting. An unlit board is invisible for half of the day. Ask whether the board is lit and until what hour.
• Digital airtime. On a screen you usually buy a slot in a loop shared with other advertisers. Compare screens by price per slot and by how often your ad appears per hour, not by monthly price alone.
• Season. Demand rises before Ramadan and, on the North Coast, through the summer. Book early for those periods.
• Duration. Owners are more flexible on multi-month bookings than on a single month.

Costs on top of the rent

• Printing and installation. Usually charged separately for printed boards. Screens need only a digital file in the right resolution.
• Design. If you don't have an in-house designer.
• VAT. Listings rarely say whether it is included. Ask.

These are simple arithmetic on the medians above, before printing and VAT:

• A neighbourhood campaign: three small street boards for one month: about 3 × EGP 15,000 = EGP 45,000.
• A city campaign: one 6×3 m board in Cairo for three months: about 3 × EGP 22,000 = EGP 66,000.
• A Ring Road presence: three 8×24 m unipoles for one month: about 3 × EGP 49,000 = EGP 147,000.
